Why this happens

Alendronic acid works by slowing down the cells that break down bone, while Lenzetto (estradiol) is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that helps maintain bone density by replacing oestrogen levels. They work in different ways and do not interfere with how the body absorbs or processes each other.

You can continue to use both medications as prescribed. Ensure you follow the specific instructions for alendronic acid: take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a full glass of plain water, and remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes before eating or taking other medicines. This ensures the alendronic acid is absorbed properly and does not irritate your food pipe.
