Can I take Apixaban and Ezetimibe together?

Why this happens

Apixaban is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) processed mainly by specific liver enzymes (CYP3A4) and a transport protein (P-gp). Ezetimibe is a cholesterol-lowering medicine that works in the digestive tract and is processed through a different pathway (glucuronidation). Because they use different pathways, they do not compete or change each other's levels in the blood.

You can safely take these two medicines together as prescribed by your doctor. You do not need to change the timing of your doses or take any special precautions.
