Taking these two medications together can significantly increase the levels of vitamin A in your body. This can lead to a condition called vitamin A toxicity (hypervitaminosis A). Why this happens
Both 'IU' (which refers to International Units of Vitamin A in this context) and 'Arovi' (a brand of Vitamin A/Retinol) contain the same active ingredient. Taking them together results in a 'doubling up' or additive effect, leading to excessively high levels in the bloodstream.
What you should do
Back to contentsDo not take these two products together unless specifically instructed by your doctor.
