Why this happens
Furosemide is a 'water tablet' that makes the kidneys flush out minerals like magnesium and potassium. Lansoprazole reduces stomach acid, which can sometimes interfere with how the body absorbs magnesium from food. When used together, they both deplete your mineral stores through different pathways.
What you should do
